Kids ages 8 and up are invited to join Wilton Library’s Minecraft Computer Club. A server for Fairfield County has been set up with a virtual world where the Minecraft community in Wilton can meet and the club welcomes the enthusiasts. Please note: Minecraft is a subscription-based, online game. Players must bring their own laptop and create their own account. Handheld devices are not recommended because they run a Minecraft app that does not work with the same server. To be added to the Fairfield County server you must visit the Children’s Desk with a valid library card to be registered. Caretakers must sign in their child with staff member. If the child is not present and signed in by 10:10, the place may be given to a waitlisted child. Caretakers must remain in the building. Registration required; no fee.

Lottery registration forms are available at the Children's Library desk starting Aug.4 and must be returned by September 10. Patrons will be notified via email if they receive a spot. This is a 10-week program.

The Baby Signs Program teaches caregivers and children from 6 months of age to the toddler stage signs for everyday activities so they can communicate before the child can speak fluently.  Each workshop session focuses on one everyday activity.  The signs are learned through activities, songs, and a book.  Every participant will go home with a handout.  There will be two everyday workshop programs.  Week one (Sept. 18) will focus on mealtime and week two (Sept. 25) will focus on bedtime.  Please register for each session separately.  Ages 6 mo. to toddlers with caregivers.  Registration required, no fee.  Sponsored by the Wilton Newcomers Club.
