Wilton Library has engaged in a two-year research study with CL&P regarding the usage of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS). One charging station was given to the library because of its central location in Wilton. The study is being conducted by CL&P to understand how customers charge EVs away from home. Patrons with electric vehicles are welcome to use the charging station during library hours. Please see the circulation staff in the library to get the code.
To use the EVCS, simply:
1) Pull vehicle in space.
2) Attach hose.
3) Punch in activation code and push “Start.” A steady green light should come on.
4) When finished charging, disconnect and hang up hose.
The station is located in the Old Ridgefield Road parking lot in a designated space closest to the street. At the present time, the library offers the service for free. The library is providing the charging station as a service to the community but cannot be responsible for its use.
