bykiTransparent Language Online (formerly Byki Online):This online language-learning service, with over 90 language options including English for speakers of other languages, allows patrons to access the system remotely and offers an unprecedented number of learning options. Transparent Language Online features listening, reading, speaking, and writing exercises, as well as integrated pronunciation analysis, vocabulary acquisition exercises, conversational language courses, video grammar lessons, and a robust social community.  The Transparent Language system can also be used on Apple and Android devices. Email Notices Help Avoid Late Fees

Wilton Library is now generating email and TXT notices of:

  • Request Pickup Notices with an expiration date—allowing you to know the date by which you must pick up your requested items (“holds”)
  • Almost Overdue Notices—lists which items are “amost due” with an additional summary of all items checked out to you
  • Overdue Items Notices
  • Patron Library Membership Expiration Notice—advises that your Wilton Library card will soon expire, giving you enough time to renew.

We are pleased to tell you that we have upgraded our Magazine Database! EBSCO MasterFILE Elite includes over 1,000 publications (up from our previous 350) and also includes full text of Consumer Reports back to 1/1/1991; Consumer Reports Buying Guide back to 1/1/1999; Consumer Reports on Health back to 1/1/1992 and Consumer Reports Travel Letter back to 1/1/1997. Click on “Research” on the blue bar, then on “Magazines/Newspapers” and then on “EBSCO MasterFILE Elite” or go directly to the MasterFile site. We hope you enjoy this new addition to our collection!
