Flu shots are available to anyone age four years and older; children under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. No appointment needed, first-come, first-served, no waiting. Cost of the flu shot is $50 payable by cash or check or it can be billed directly to Aetna, Anthem, Connecticare, Harvard Pilgrim, Multi Plan, Wellcare or Medicare Part B. Bring your insurance card with you.   HIGH DOSE vaccine ($68) is available to persons age 65 or older who would like it instead of the regular dose vaccine. Let us introduce you to our die cutter, the Cricut, and get you started on making your own gift tags, birthday, anniversary or thank you cards and more. For 7th graders to adult and 6th graders accompanied by an adult willing to learn too. Must have a valid CT Library card and signed Innovation Station Agreement Form.   Space limited to 2 per session. Registration required.

12:00 PM to 2:00 PM

In this one-on-one session, let us introduce you to our electronic embroidery machine and personalize a tea towel, apron, baby’s bib or burp cloth. Aprons are available for $7. All other items are $5. For 7th graders to adults and 6th graders accompanied by adults who are willing to learn too. Must have a valid CT library card and signed Innovation Station Agreement Form. Joanne Hunter from Danbury's Art Spot will be coming to the Wilton Library. With her guidance, children in grades 3 to 5 will be creating an acrylic painting on canvas of a still life motivated by Cuban artist Julio Larraz.  Sponsored by Fairfield County Bank. Registration required for grades 3 to 5.

Cubamerican tells us the story of a variety of eminent exiles from Cuba who overcame personal loss and struggle to assimilate, triumph and thrive in the United States as Cuban-Americans. The cast covers a wide range of professional, business, and cultural fields and includes such notables as baseball great Tony Perez, actor Andy Garcia, and our featured Wilton Reads author and Yale historian Carlos Eire.
