If you're a girl in grades 6-12 and want to learn to create mobile apps, games or websites, join Girls Who Code. No experience necessary – just enthusiasm and willingness to try new things! We're part of a national club that offers project-based activities in a fun and creative environment. This is an on-going program where each week builds on skills learned in previous weeks.

We'll meet twice a month on Sundays from October 1, 2017 - June 3, 2018. Sessions are from 1 - 3 p.m. on these dates: October 1 & 15, November 5 & 19, December 3 & 17, January 7 & 21, February 4 & 11, March 4 & 18, April 1 & 15, May 6 & 13 and June 3.  Registration required. 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM

Learn how to use our new Button Maker and create unique designs, add slogans and go home with a few fun buttons! Must have a valid CT Library card and signed Innovation Station Agreement form.  Please bring the completed form to the workshop.  For 7th graders through adults and 6th grade students accompanied by adults who are willing to learn too! Registration required.

The Madera Winds, formed in 2012, is a blend of Connecticut Musicians who have performed over the last thirty years in other chamber music groups in Wilton as well as throughout Fairfield County. Ralph Kirmser (Oboe) of Wilton and Janet Atherton (Clarinet) of Norwalk had been founding members of the Prevailing Winds Quintet since the 1980's. Rosemary Dellinger (Bassoon) has been the bassoonist for the Connecticut Little Symphony and teaches Spanish at Cider Mill School in Wilton. Joanne Hiscocks, a member of the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra for over 20 years, is the flutist.   Zach Glavan, Horn, is a graduate of the Indiana School of Music and has performed with the Hong Kong Symphony and the Macau Orchestra. The Madera Winds will perform chamber music by Debussy, Malcolm Arnold, George Gershwin and Paquito D’Rivera. No charge. Registration strongly suggested. Pre-registrants should arrive by 3:50 to be guaranteed seating; wait-listed and walk-in registrants will be admitted after 3:50 if space is available. Media Sponsor: GOOD Morning Wilton.
