The Wilton Economic Development Commission in partnership with Wilton Library invited Wilton kids in grades K-12 to submit Winter Palace sculptures to be put on display in the Children's Library section of library from Nov. 27 through Dec. 7. During this time, guests and visitors of the library can vote for their favorite sculptures and winning sculptures will be awarded ribbons. Voting will close on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at noon. Votes will be counted and ribbons will be displayed by Thursday, Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. in the following grade categories: K-2; 3-5; 6-8; 9-12. Entries will remain on display through Jan. 19.

The Library's holiday Book Sale in the gallery is a seasonal delight where bargains can be found - featuring a large array of pristine books, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks suitable for gift-giving to all ages. This year, the sale includes a diverse collection of classical, jazz, Latin and blues CDs.  All CDs are priced to sell, many are new shrink-wrapped items.  All merchandise is perfect for holiday gift-giving. As items are sold, new ones appear daily. All sales support the library.

Sale opens at noon on November 30 and continues during regular library hours through January 3, 2018. Library closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

10:15 AM to 10:45 AM

Children ages 3-5 are invited to join us in a dinosaur-themed story time. Children and their caregivers will sing and dance to songs, listen to stories, and create their very own dinosaur fossil to bring home. Grab your paleontologist tools and head on over to this story time before it becomes extinct! Registration required. Register online or call 203-762-6336. 

1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Make a holiday craft for yourself or to give as a gift. We will be etching a glass hurricane globe with a holiday design of your choice and then we will fill it with blue, silver or gold colored balls and a string of white lights and other decorations for display on your table, mantel or anywhere else in your home. $10 for one hurricane globe, payable upon arrival. For 7th graders through adults or 6th graders accompanied by an adults willing to learn too. Must have a valid CT Library card and signed Innovation Station Agreement Form. Please bring the completed form to the workshop. Space limited to six students per session. Registration required. Register online or call 203-762-6342.

4:00 PM to 4:45 PM

Children in grades 2 - 5 are invited to visit the library and enjoy some 'old' games and hobbies. Each week we will have fun with an activity, game, or skill from yonder year. Nov. 30: My Little Pony and Care Bears (1980s) – we will watch old My Little Pony episodes and read a book about the Care Bears from the 1980s.

Dec. 7: Hakey Sack and Hoola Hoops; Dec.14: Friendship Bracelets;  Dec. 21: Classic Board Games. No registration, no fee.
