Campaign for the Wilton Library

Study/Reading Area (Archive Page–Historical Information Only)

More Wiltonians are using the Library regularly for personal study and research. Among them are those who have businesses in their homes, those who are employed by local businesses, and those enrolled in courses who simply want to continue learning.

In the newly rennovated spaces we will provide quiet study/reading spots that will make our Library feel like a “community living room.” One may choose a spot looking out onto beautiful landscaped courtyards, select a bench in one of the outside courtyards in temperate weather, or discover an intimate corner.

The Library will offer many different environments, including those with work tables for study and research. The study carels will be equipped with access points for laptops, and acoustically separate study rooms will be available for small meetings or tutoring sessions. The present reading area near the magazines and newspapers will be updated with more comfortable chairs and small work tables surrounding a fireplace.
