Katharine Weber returns to library

A dark period in American manufacturing history is explored in a novel by Katharine Weber, who will be at the library Tuesday, June 20 at 7 to discuss the story and her work. Triangle, her just-released fictional effort, uses the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire as the underpinning of the story. Ms. Weber is the author of The Little Women, The Music Lesson, and Objects in Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear and has addressed audiences at the library in the past. The story has particular relevance to the author since, according to her publicity material, her paternal grandmother finished buttonholes for the Triangle Shirtwaist Company in 1909.
