Museum visits during vacationSchool vacations are just a week away and once the children tear through all the wrapping paper, watch videos and DVDs endlessly, and start whining, it may seem like an interminable stretch until school is in session again. It would be a perfect time for grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles to take the kids to some of Connecticut's museums. Using the library's Museum Pass program, families can enjoy free or discounted admission to ten museums including the Discovery Museum and Planetarium in Bridgeport, Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill, the Maritime Aquarium in South Norwalk to name a few. Museum passes can be reserved up to one month in advance by calling the library or stopping by the Circulation Desk. There is no charge for reserving museum passes. Patrons are responsible for actual admission fees (if applicable) or any fees or charges beyond those included with the passes (e.g. parking, special exhibit admissions). For more information or to reserve a museum pass for vacation week or beyond, call 762-3950.
