How do I get started?

Sign up to take one of our introductory sessions (see listings below). If you can’t attend one of those, please email innovation@wiltonlibrary.org with some possible dates and times and we’ll try to accommodate you. Please make sure you have a valid CT Library card and signed Innovation Station Agreement Form. Interested 6th graders can also get involved with an accompanying parent.

Once you’ve successfully completed an introductory session, we’ll certify you to use the equipment and you can reserve time for your own projects:

Reserve Innovation Station Equipment

You can reserve one day to one month ahead for a one – two hour block.  You’ll receive a confirmation email once your request has been approved. If you need to cancel your reservation, please reply to the confirmation email to let us know.

Is there a charge?

All training sessions are free, however we do charge a nominal fee for materials purchased (e.g.; DVD-R, aprons, napkins, jewelry trays, tumblers, etc.). After you’re certified, you can bring your own materials to work with or purchase supplies from us.

As of January 2018, there is usage fee for both the Janome embroidery machine and Cricut die cutter. This fee will help us to cover subscription and maintenance costs, thread, needles, stablizer, cutting mats, blades, etc. You can pay as you go ($5 for a two-hour time slot) or purchase a $40 pass for 10 two-hour sessions.
