2011-2012 Poetry in Motion program

Poetry in Motion is an annual program for teens in grades 6-12. This is the 6^th year for the program and new this year is the inclusion of 6^th graders.  This year’s theme is ‘Tell Us What You Know.’ Students are invited to submit original poems (serious or humorous; short or long) in keeping with this topic.  Approximately 35 poems will be selected for a two-performance event in March 2012 at the library. Poems will be paired with art, music and/or dance for the live performances, as well as published in a commemorative book.  This program is sponsored by Wilton Library with funding from a generous donor and the John and Patricia Curran Fund.
Submit poems to teenpoetry@wiltonlibrary.org by November 1, 2011.
