June brings Dorothy Lorenze to the Weir Farm Artist-in-Residence program. Dorothy's focus is “painting stuff to look like stuff,” with the aim to capture the essence of what makes a subject interesting. So, working in the classical style of traditional oils, her paintings are contemporary realism - rendering the details of translucency, reflection and texture - to feature the 'personality' of the subject. Co-sponsored by Weir Farm Art Center and Weir Farm National Historic Site and presented by Wilton Library. No charge. Registration suggested.
