Alright, Still

LilyAllen"
Twenty-year-old Lily Allen's CD Alright, Still is my latest favorite. "A lot of female artists, and male ones for that matter, are boring singers who don't say anything. Certainly not to my generation. With the kind of music I do you have to be direct and quite literal," says Allen on her website. Check it out at: http://www.lilyallenmusic.com

Did you catch the VMA's?

MTV_patch.jpg

OK, I admit I didn't watch it, but I had a real good excuse (I swear) but I did catch the highlights the next day and must say I was not disappointed. People performed more or less as expected (I'm looking at you Britney!!) and there were a few happy surprises as well, like the performance by Miss Alicia Keys, I also think Sarah Silverman delivered the funny. If you missed it like I did you can see it all on MTV.com and if you have any thoughts about any of this you can add them in our comments section right here. You guys know we like to hear from you right?
