Poetry in Motion: Right, WRONG or somewhere in-between

Overview

Submissions accepted through Friday, November 9, 2007

For teens entering grades 7-12. Start creating your poetry about ethics and morals. Submit your works by email to teenpoetry@wiltonlibrary.org by Friday, November 9, 2007.

Poetry in Motion: Right, WRONG or somewhere in-between is a two-performance poetry and arts event centered on the theme of ethics and morals. Teens (entering grades 7-12) are invited to submit poetry in keeping with this theme. All poems will be published in a book created to commemorate the event. Copies will be available for purchase and one will be kept in the library's collection. A student board will select approximately thirty works for inclusion in the performances. Poems will be choreographed with music or art in live performances on March 28 and 29, 2008, at the library.

The program is sponsored by Wilton Library with funding from the John J. and Pat A. Curran Teen Fund.

For more information, contact Wilton Library's Teen Librarian Susan Lauricella by phone at 203-762-3950, Ext. 243 or by email at teenpoetry@wiltonlibrary.org.
