The Pages through the Ages Summer Reading Program is now online!
Patrons can use our new summer reader program, Evanced, to register and log their summer reading. Prize coupons can be printed and brought to the library for redemption. Some highlights of the online program are: flexibility by being able to log-on whenever and wherever throughout the summer; convenience of keeping track of reading online and ability to print lists easily (teachers love to see what the kids read over the summer); attractive graphics are engaging and help encourage participation; on-demand access allows vacationing patrons to participate, too. The online program can be accessed from internet-capable computers, laptops, iPads and more. Call the Children’s Library for more information at 203-762-3950, ext. 217.

Teen Summer Reading
Friday, June 21 through Friday, August 16th
This year our summer reading program is online. Teens entering grades 6-12 can use Evanced to register and log their summer reading. Weekly raffle and prizes awarded. On vacation? At camp? Can’t get off the couch? No problem! This program allows teens to log-on whenever and wherever throughout the summer. All that’s needed is internet access! All prizes must be picked up at the Wilton Library.

Wilton Library’s 69th Annual Summer Show Exhibition
Now through Aug. 30
More than 50 Wilton artists display their diverse styles, media, and subjects in the second month of the annual Summer Show. Exhibit runs through Friday, August 30th. A portion of the proceeds benefits the library.
The Guitar Guy
Wednesday, Aug. 14, 11 – 11:30 a.m.
Children ages 2-6 and their caregivers are invited to a fun performance by Robert the Guitar Guy. Robert uses music, props, movement, and dance to entertain children and their grown-ups. Registration recommended. Sponsored by the Coyle Family Young Readers Fund.
Meet and Greet with the Disney Princesses
Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2 – 4 p.m.
For 2 hours, Wilton Library will become an enchanted kingdom where children can meet and have their pictures taken with their favorite Disney Princesses. Merida, Aurora, Belle, Mulan, Cinderella, Snow White and, of course, the Fairy Godmother will all be there. Children can make their own autograph booklets so that they can collect the signatures of all the princesses. Children are encouraged to wear costumes. Sponsored by the Coyle Family Young Readers Fund. Under the age of 8, caretakers must remain with children.
Marshmallow Challenge for Teens
Wednesday, Aug. 14, 3 – 4:30 p.m.
Make your own marshmallow launcher and then compete against others in distance and target challenges. Prizes awarded. Registration required. For teens entering grades 6-12. Sponsored by the John and Patricia Curran Teen Fund.
