ESL (English as a Second Language)

Monday, Sept. 30 through Wednesday, Dec. 18 , 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Twice-weekly classes in English as a Second Language will begin on Monday, September 30 and will continue on Mondays and Wednesdays until December 18 at Wilton Library given by Westport Continuing Education. (Note: no class Oct. 14 or Nov. 27) Testing and registration required.


Books for Babies

Wednesday, Sept. 11 through Wednesday, Nov. 13, 10:15 – 10:45 a.m.

Bring your wonderful baby to this infant friendly program at the Wilton Library. We will sing and play and enjoy gentle stories geared for babies under 12 months old.  This is an excellent forum to meet other new parents in the area. This program runs for 10 weeks.  Caregivers must be present.


Wonderful Ones and Twos

Wednesday, Sept. 11 through Wednesday, Nov. 13, 11 – 11:30 a.m.
This program is a sharing time for 1 and 2 year-olds and their caregivers. The emphasis is on books, with some songs and toy time. This program runs for 10 weeks.


Author Talk: Lynn Adler – Celebrate 100: Centenarian Secrets to Success in Business and Life

Wednesday, Nov. 6, 7 – 8:30 p.m.
Author Lynn Peters Adler, J.D. brings inspiration to life with her book, Celebrate 100, based on interviews and stories of more than 500 Centenarians.  With their personal anecdotes that encompass the Jazz Age, the Great Depression, two World Wars, the Space Age, the Digital Age and the 9/11 tragedy, Adler distills the wisdom from aging storytellers. Lynn Adler is the founder of National Centenarian Awareness Project, founded in 1989 and is a Centenarian Expert and Older Adults Advocate.
