Welcome to Wilton Library


This program is a sharing time for 1 and 2 year-olds and their caregivers. The emphasis is on books, with some songs and toy time. No registration, no program fee.

Looking for a fun and creative way to relax? Swing by, grab some pencils or gel pens, pick out a cool design and start coloring. No experience needed. For teens and adults.

Our instructor, Michael Bellacosa, shows how to create and format a basic document in Microsoft Word in this free class. Basic computer skills including mouse proficiency required. Advance registration required. Class limited to 16 students. See registration link for details.

Flying pool noodles? Yes, with some motors, batteries, LEDs, and a bit of ingenuity, we think we can make them soar! We're looking for a small group of teens (grades 7-12) to work together over the course of 8 weeks: September 30-November 18th. Interested? Please send an email to with the following: name, grade as of Fall 2015, best phone # to reach you, why you want to be involved, your favorite activities, something interesting about yourself that most people don't know. Supported by the Amadeo Family Fund.

Kids in grades K and up are invited to join the Lego® Club. Sessions will be based on a new theme such as castles, vehicles, towers and more. Children will learn about the theme through stories and non-fiction books and then create a Lego® masterpiece from the library’s Lego® collection. There are 20 spots available for this program on a first come first serve basis. Tickets will be passed out at the Children's Library reference desk starting at 3:45 p.m. the day of the program.


Wilton Library will have the ribbon-cutting ceremony for its brand-new Children’s Library entrance on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 5 p.m.   The public is invited to the festivities which includes a reception.  The entrance was made possible through the generous funding of the Shoff Foundation.  The installation art was created by Ed MacEwen, Bonnie MacEwen Sailer and Jesse Sailer.

Wilton Library’s executive director Elaine Tai-Lauria receives a generous donation of $1,200 from Mitch Ancona, of Ancona’s Wines & Liquors of Wilton and Ridgefield, who recently hosted the First Annual Branchville Charity Bocce Tournament.  Holding the trophy is Michael Crystal (husband of Janet Crystal, marketing communications manager for the library). He headed up the first place team, Wilton Library Bocce Brawlers, which included Jon Waxberg (husband of Anita Waxberg, processing and circulation assistant for the library), Justin Bartholomew and Jeff Hancock (both employees of Ancona’s).  There were eight nonprofit teams that competed in the round-robin tournament.

6/15/15:  ReQuest (Statewide Catalog) will shut down
Fall 2015:  New Statewide Catalog will be brought online
ILL Service will continue to be available throughout this transition!
