Welcome to Wilton Library


This program is a sharing time for 1 and 2 year-olds and their caregivers. The emphasis is on books, with some songs and toy time. No registration, no program fee. Program runs for 10 weeks. No session October 12.

Goldilocks, Little Red Riding Hood, the Tortoise and the Hare will all be there! Won't you join us? Come hear their stories Wednesday, October 5, 19 & 26 in October from 4 to 4:30. For ages 5 and 6. Registration required. Caretakers must stay in building. No session October 12.

Create luminaries using ball jars, paint and images from our Die Cutter. For teens in grades 7-12. Space limited and registration required.  All materials supplied. Supported by the John and Patricia Curran Teen Fund. 

Wondering what all the buzz about virtual reality is? Join us for this beginner's workshop where you'll get your own VR cardboard headset for your smartphone and learn how to explore various apps.     Must have an Android 4.1 or higher OR an iOS 8.0 or higher. Larger phones with 4-6 ' screen sizes can be supported. For teens entering grades 8+ and adults.  Registration required. Cost $15 payable upon arrival. Due to limited space and the high interest in virtual reality, we will need to confirm your attendance no later than August 18th. 

Mother Goose on the Loose is a themed story time for children ages 6 months to 2 years.  Children will sing songs, listen to stories, move to music, and learn nursery rhymes.  Felt boards, puppets, instruments, and props will be used.  No fee.  

Please note: in an effort to create a small, consistent group experience, this program uses a lottery system for registration. Lottery registration forms are available at the Children's Library desk starting August 25 and must be returned by September 10. Patrons will be notified via email if they receive a spot. This is a 10-week program.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Wilton Library is pleased to announce its “1000 Books Before Kindergarten” initiative that supports early literacy.  The program encourages parents to read to their little ones receiving free books, stickers and certificates whenever the goals are reached. Sponsored by Cohen & Wolf, P.C. and Tiger Tales Publishing.   And now children of all ages can get a Wilton Library card to call their very own – with no age restriction.  Sign up for the program at the Children's Library desk.
