Artist William McCarthy creates atmospheric landscapes entirely from memory and imagination. Using thumbnail sketches to inform and guide, the oil-based images spring forth with vibrancy and color harmony to create a sense of place in time with the ever changing atmosphere. A portion of the proceeds benefits the library.
Terrific Tales for Twos and Threes

Join Wilton Library for 2 and 3-year old story time. Children and their caregivers will sing songs, listen to stories, and enjoy playtime together while building literacy and social skills. This program runs for 11 weeks.
Look, Listen and Learn
Tuesday, Jan. 7 through Tuesday, March 18, 11 – 11:30 a.m.
For 3 and 4 year-olds with caregivers. By interacting with stories, singing songs and acting out finger plays and rhymes, children in this program gain pre-reading skills and learn how to participate in a group setting. This program runs for 11 weeks.
Senior Center Book Discussion: The Guns of August
Tuesday, Feb. 25, 11 a.m. – noon.
David Ostergren will lead a discussion of The Guns of August by Barbara W. Tuchman. August, 2014, marks the hundredth anniversary of the start of World War I. This Pulitzer Prize-winning classic dealing with the first month of the war is considered one of the finest works of history written by an American in the 20th Century. Tuesday, Jan. 7 through Tuesday, March 18, 2:15 – 3:00 p.m. For independent listeners ages 4 – 6 years. This is a story time that provides children with experiences that enrich early literacy. Children will hear stories, watch short films, sing songs, and do a craft. This program runs for 11 weeks.
