Welcome to Wilton Library

Events:

Wilton Library’s annual program for teens in grades 7-12 is once again starting and we want your poetry! We're looking for original poems (serious or humorous; short or long) addressing this year's theme, “Inside Out.” What is Inside Out? Perhaps it's the face you show the world while hiding what's inside. It could be that his shirt is inside out or she knows the city inside out. Or maybe it's just that you loved the movie 'Inside Out!' It's all up to your interpretation.  Approximately 30 poems will be selected for a two-performance event in March 2016 at the library. Poems will be paired with art and possibly music or song. So start the creative juices flowing! Submissions accepted now through October 31, 2015. Please send as a Word document to teenpoetry@wiltonlibrary.org.  Questions? Call 203-762-3950, ext. 243. This program is sponsored by Wilton Library with funding from generous donors.

In this one-on-one session, let us introduce you to our electronic sewing machine and embroider or monogram a tea towel. For ages 13-113 and students entering 6th & 7th grades.  Must have a valid CT Library card and signed Innovation Station Agreement form.  Please bring the completed form to the workshop. Space limited to 1 student per session.  Registration required.

Come join Wilton Library’s new book group dedicated to 'food literature!' This month's book is Tender at the Bone by Ruth Reichl.  Pamela Lillis, a nutritional health coach, avid reader, and lover of food lit, will moderate the discussion.  No charge.  Registration recommended.  Book selections through January 2016.

The Children’s Library will print your 3D designs for you! Just design a 3D object at home or on a library computer, sign up for an appointment (one child per slot), and a staff member will print your STL file on our Makerbot Replicator 2. Caretakers may wish to sign their child up for several time slots in a row if they anticipate a large project or for time to adjust the design during trial printings. Caretakers must read through and sign a Regulations and Usage Agreement Form before their child will be allowed to use the 3D printer. No fee. Original designs only. Ages 8-12.
