Welcome to Wilton Library

Kids ages 8 and up are invited to join Wilton Library’s Minecraft Computer Club. A server for Fairfield County has been set up with a virtual world where the Minecraft community in Wilton can meet and the club welcomes the enthusiasts. Please note: Minecraft is a subscription-based, online game. Players must bring their own laptop and create their own account. Handheld devices are not recommended because they run a Minecraft app that does not work with the same server. To be added to the Fairfield County server you must visit the Children’s Desk with a valid library card to be registered. Caretakers must sign in their child with staff member. If the child is not present and signed in by 10:10, the place may be given to a waitlisted child. Caretakers must remain in the building. Registration required; no fee.

Join us for our Basic Computers class which will serve as the introduction to the topics you need to know and be comfortable with in order to get the most out of our slate of technology classes.  Topics covered in this session include saving files, Internet browsers, email, and printing. Feel free to bring your first-timers questions.  Class limited to 6 students and registration is required.

If you're a girl in grades 6 - 12 and want to learn to create mobile apps, games and websites, join Girls Who Code. No experience necessary -- just enthusiasm and willingness to try new things! We're part of a national club that offers project-based activities in a fun and creative environment. This is an ongoing program where each week builds on skills learned in previous weeks.

We'll meet for 13 Sundays, from February 21 - June 5 on these dates and times: February 21 from 1-5 p.m.; February 28 from 1-3 p.m.; March 6, 13 & 20 from 1-3 p.m.; April 3 & 17 from 1-5 p.m.; April 24 from 1-3 p.m.; May 1, 8, 15 & 22 from 1-3 p.m.; June 5 from 1-5 p.m.  Registration required. Supported by Girls Who Code.

Wait-List Only

Stop by the Innovation Station between 2-3:30 and make a unique Mother's Day card. Free! No registration.

Works by six composer-members of Connecticut Composers, Elizabeth Austin, Allen Brings, Juliana Hall, Daniel Morel, Margaret Collins Stoop, and Nancy Tucker will be performed. See library’s registration link for more details. No charge. Registration strongly suggested. Pre-registrants should arrive by 4:50 to be guaranteed seating; wait-listed and walk-in registrants will be admitted after 4:50 if space is available.
