Teen Summer Reading

The Teen Summer Reading Program is underway now, and ends on Friday August 15th. Weekly, teens entering grades 6-12 can access EVANCED, the online program to record the number of pages read. There will be a weekly drawing for $10 gift certificates. The end-of-summer grand prize will be a $100 AmEx Gift Card. For more details, stop by Teen Services or call 203-762-3950, ext. 243.

Camp Half-Blood Fun-raiser

This summer a mysterious glowing symbol will appear above your head that will confirm what you’ve always secretly known – you are the child of a Greek god. Join other half-bloods at the Wilton library for a summer camp like no other! Based on the acclaimed children’s series Percy Jackson and the Olympians written by Rick Riordan, this day camp will include all the training a growing half-blood needs to survive ancient Greek monsters in our modern world. You’ll be claimed by a Greek god, solve a prophecy foretold by the Oracle of Delphi, make your way through the Labyrinth, and much more! This program is a fundraiser for the Children’s Library. Registration in person. Payment must be made at time of registration. $55.00 per child. For children going into Grades 3 thru 6.
Author Talk: Erin Duffy – On the Rocks

Author Erin Duffy comes to the library to discuss her latest novel, On the Rocks, a tale of “friendship, family and finding love in the Facebook Age.” Duffy graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in English, then worked as a Wall Street trader which inspired her first book, Bond Girl. Q & A and book signing following the talk. Books available for purchase courtesy of Elm Street Books. Registration is recommended.
