Welcome to Wilton Library

Events:

Come to the Wilton Library for a fun and educational program with the Beardsley Zoo! Their Zoomobile will be bringing five animals for kids to interact with and learn about. Can you guess which animals they will be? Grades K and up, registration required. Sponsored by the Amadeo Family Fund.

Come to a special Holiday performance by the Wilton Conservatory of Dance! They will be performing highlights from the Nutcracker Ballet by Peter Tchaikovsky. You don’t have to travel to see a wonderful performance by talented local ballerinas. Short reception to follow performance. Grades K and up. Registration required; no fee.

Ray Rauth will lead a discussion of All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque. As we in 2014 observe the hundredth anniversary of the start of World War I, this classic novel of WWI, written from the German perspective, demands to be read.  The book does not focus on the heroic stories of war but gives a view of the conditions in which the soldiers find themselves and which they must endure. This group meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month from September through May, excluding December. Call the Senior Center for details and to register at (203) 834-6240. Comstock Community Center, 180 School Road, Wilton.

As items are sold, new ones appear daily, thanks to the hard-working book sale volunteers, who always seem to have an un-ending supply of tantalizing offerings. All sales support the library.

This is a 2-day workshop conducted by the Red Cross for students ages 11-15. Upon completion of the course, all students will receive a babysitting certification. Cost of $85.00 due before class.
