Children in grades K-2 are invited to join us weekly for a story and various STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) activities. This fun and hands-on program will include a read-aloud of a popular children's picture book along with a correlating STEM craft and activity and a whole group science demonstration. This week's story is Little Granny Quarterback by Bill Martin Jr. and Michael Sampson; illustrated by Michael Chesworth. Supported by the Amadeo Family.  Registration required. Come join us for a fun and relaxing evening. We'll supply the canvas, paints, brushes and a collection of masterpieces to copy and inspire you. No art experience required. Just a desire to pick up a brush, have fun and let your inner self out! For adults, ages 18+. Space limited. Registration required. Register online or call 203-762-6342.

Bring your wonderful baby to this infant friendly program at the Wilton Library! We will sing and play and enjoy gentle stories geared for babies under 12 months old. This is an excellent forum to meet other new parents in the area. Bring dad too! Caregivers must be present. No registration required.

This program is a sharing time for 1 and 2-year-olds and their caregivers. The emphasis is on books, with some songs and toy time. No registration, no program charge.

Mid-term Exams Schedule – closing late, study room, and ROAR pups.

A study room is available on the second floor of the library Monday, Jan. 29 through Thursday, Feb. 1, until 5 p.m. each day for students wishing to study during exam week.  The library also will be open until 9 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, Jan. 29 - 31; the Children’s Library will close at its regular 8 p.m. time.  ROAR therapy dogs will be visiting the library on Wednesday, Jan. 31, from 1 – 4 p.m. near the Innovation Station for kids to take a needed break from the stress of studying.

Wilton Chamber of Commerce Winter Carnival

Sunday, Jan. 28, 12 – 4 p.m.

While the Wilton Chamber of Commerce Winter Carnival is taking place in Wilton Center, people will be able to visit the library for some of the fun.  Everyone is invited to decorate snowflakes, relax and color at a large table, experience Virtual Reality, take the ultimate selfie in front of a green screen in some faraway place, or just warm up by the fireplace. Come on in!

Substitute Adult Reference Librarian Position Available

Wilton Library is seeking a service-oriented, year-round, part-time, substitute adult reference librarian.  Candidates must hold a Master of Library Science degree; MLS students nearing graduation will be considered.
