Wilton Library raises approximately 25% of our budget annually through donations. The maintenance and acquisition of ALL collection items, both print and digital in addition to ALL programs, are supported by private donations. Wilton Library is not wholly funded by the Town of Wilton. Through a generous grant from the Town of Wilton, we receive about three-quarters of the annual operating budget, fundraising must raise the remaining portion of our budget.

This rating designates us as an official “Give with Confidence” charity, indicating that our organization is using its donations effectively based on Charity Navigator’s criteria.
Charity Navigator is America’s largest and most-utilized independent charity evaluator. Since 2001, the organization has been an unbiased and trusted source of information for more than 11 million donors annually.
