Wilton Library announces the inaugural year of The Cornerstone Writer-in-Residence Program. The program supports an emerging or mid-career writer with a $30,000 stipend, generously provided by the Wilton Library Endowment Fund, and provides office space for 12 months as they complete one manuscript with the intent to publish.
In addition to completing their manuscript, the Writer-in-Residence will facilitate a series of library programs for all ages and offer outreach visits to Wilton schools within the 12 months of their residency.
The Cornerstone Writer-in-Residence Program highlights the literary process and the impact that writers have on the lives of readers of all ages. The Writer-in-Residence program expands the Library’s program offerings, enhances the Library’s connection with the schools, and encourages an environment of creativity as we continue to inform, enrich, connect and inspire our community.
